I think essentially the meaning of life is probably the journey and not really any one thing or an outcome or a result. I think it's kinda the process and I think that if you can find happiness in the process then maybe that's it. CHARISMA CARPENTER
What makes this family trip to Batanes nothing short of amazing is because of the journey. The success of arriving to the destination cannot be achieved without the course of going through obstacles such as pre-travel jitters, vater's frequent trips to the bathroom and dealing with the nerve of flying in a small plane!
Ready with our backpacks and vater's documentation team (everybody lol), we all boarded Philippine Airlines Q400 76-seater Bombardier Turbo Prop with only a total of 20+ excited passengers in tow.
Half of the passengers were seated at the tail end so as to balance the plane's leverage.
The take off didn't take long as we ascended in air after a few seconds.
The Bombardier is designed for shorter runaways. This particular model the Q400 is equipped with a large motor and can deliver more turns and less noise than other propellers. It is made for short haul flights, high resistance for weather conditions, has low weight but high in strength.
The Manila-Basco flight was originally scheduled to leave by 8:05 AM but was delayed and took off by 9:45 AM instead.
About to descend as Batan Island can be seen through the window with the landing tires ready. Excited!
After 1 hour and 30 minutes, we landed safely in Basco, thank God!
Welcome to Basco Airport
